The COVID-19 Pandemic & Sports

The Big East was the only DI MBB game to tip off on March 12 in front of 500 fans at Madison Square Garden. At halftime, I announced that the game would be suspended, and the tournament canceled.

The NWSL Challenge Cup signaled the first team sport to return to play during the COVID-19 Pandemic. With Lori Lindsey and a committed production crew, we broadcast 23 games over one month with 21 re-airing on CBSSN. "The Slide" was one of many memorable keepsake memories from the Challenge Cup.
